Terence Murphy is President of New Health Management, Inc. Prior to forming
NHM, he was National Service Director-Physician Services for the seventh largest
accounting and consulting firm in the country. His extensive experience working with
physicians and hospitals ranges from medical practice consulting and physician/hospital
contracting to comprehensive health system strategic planning.

and various relationships, Mr. Murphy brings a unique perspective to the development of
integrated healthcare relationships.
He is an active member of various industry
organizations including the National Association of Integrated Health Organization and the
American Hospital Association. He has authored numerous industry related articles and is
frequently quoted in industry publications such as Healthcare Financial Management, and
American Medical News. He recently co-authored a 223 page book, Hospital-Physician
Integration, Strategies for Success in cooperation with the American Hospital
Association.
Mr. Murphy received his Masters in Business
Administration in Finance and Health Services Administration from Cornell University and
his Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire.
PATRICIA A. LORD

Pat Lord is a Principal at New Health Management, Inc. Her 20 years of
healthcare experience include physicians practice management, medical chart review,
MIS software applications, and managed care contracting and negotiations. She also has
extensive experience in practice start-up and assessments, personnel management, and
practice operations.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE INCLUDE:
- Designed,
negotiated, and implemented integrated delivery systems.
Planned and implemented physician
networks for hospital and medical groups as well as start-up of physician practices and
MSOs.
Evaluated and recommended physician
practice management software, including electronic medical records (EMR) and managed care
capabilities.
Significantly increased coding
accuracy, causing reduced returned or suspended claims and enhanced revenues and
reimbursement.
Managed medical record
documentation associated with coding, billing and reimbursement as related to Medicare and
third party payor rules, regulations and policies.
Completed over 150 physician
practice assessments in less than a year for a large integrated healthcare system.
Assessed compliance exposures,
designed corporate compliance plans including operation on compliance reporting hotline
and monitoring of ongoing compliance activities for physician practices.
Prior to joining New Health Management, Ms. Lord
worked for Empire Blue Cross & Blue Shield of New York where she served as a liaison
between Medicare and physicians to improve electronic claims billing and reimbursement by
utilizing proper coding. At Blue Cross, she also participated in the design and
certification of the electronic claims processing facilities for the physician billing
system, including testing and certification of new system requirements. Following her work
at Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Ms. Lord developed her own consulting practice.
Ms. Lord is a member of the American Hospital
Association for Healthcare Planning and Marketing and the Medical Group Management
Association.
Ms. Lord attended Allegheny Community College and
Adelphi University where her education included computer science studies and work toward a
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
GLENN D.
LEVY

Glenn D. Levy is a Principal at New Health Management, Inc. Prior to joining
New Health Management, Glenn held the position of Senior Vice President of Corporate
Development and Marketing of The Mt. Sinai Health Care System. During that period, he lead
the evolution of Mt. Sinai from a single acute care teaching hospital into a vertically
integrated health care system. The system included a major tertiary teaching hospital,
general acute care community hospital, free standing mental health hospital/counseling
centers, ambulatory care/physician office complex, Physician Hospital Organization and
Management Service Organization. His broad range of expertise includes strategic, business
and market planning, mergers and acquisitions, product-line development and marketing,
managed care systems development, management, and contracting and clinical/support
services operations.

which contracted with payors and directly with employers for capitation, global fees, and
fee for service; the PHO provided to its physician members access to 1 million covered
lives.
Mr. Levy received his B.S. at the University of
Pittsburgh and his Masters in Health Services Administration from the George Washington
University.

T. GROVER

J effrey Grover is a
Principal at New Health Management, Inc. His eighteen years of healthcare experience
include serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of a 150 physician,
teaching-hospital affiliated primary care group. Previously, he was Director of Physician
Services for a healthcare consulting firm in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Smithline specializes in the physician-physician, physician-hospital and
physician-HMO interface, Dr. Smithline works personally with clients to achieve revenue
enhancement through high-quality, cost-effective medical care delivery and improved
relations. As a distinguished practitioner, consultant and administrator, Dr. Smithline
has outstanding credentials and extensive experience as a contributor to the healthcare
field.

physician groups, improve industrial medicine and trauma care delivery, and enhance

JONATHAN W.
SCOTT

Jonathan Scott is the
Director of Operations at New Health Management, Inc. His expertise lies in market
research and data collection for the facilitation and development of physician succession
programs, community need substantiation and medical staff planning. Mr. Scott is also
technical manager of NHM's newest service, Healthcare Simulation Modeling. Using
state-of-the-art software, he is able to simulate the operations of a healthcare delivery
facility, identify operational bottlenecks and test potential solutions before they are
implemented.

Institute of Business Appraisal (IBA). Mr. Scott is a graduate of Centre College and holds
